In conjunction with tonight’s rehearsal, we are excited to announce the start of ticket sales for select shows. We are still in the process of finalizing more show venues and getting additional ticket sales up and running. Don’t worry, we will announce these updates as soon as they are confirmed.
To get the ticket sales started, you can visit http://twelvetwentyfour.net/holiday-rock-tour/ for ticket sales information for the Bangor, Mauch Chunk Opera House, Newton Theatre, and Levoy Theatre shows.
We are proud to share this exciting news about Cierra’s nomination as Female Vocalist of the Year. The selection committee nominated Cierra for her role as vocalist for Flaxy Morgan. As most of you know, outside of the holiday season, Cierra joins fellow Twelve Twenty-Four members Frank Gruden and Richie Kossuth in Flaxy Morgan. She is one of six women nominated for this award and the winner will be selected by the Steamtown Music Awards Voting Committee. All of the award winners will be announced on Thursday, September 15, at the start of the Electric City Music Conference.
Cierra, we are all pulling for you and cannot begin to tell you how proud we are to have you as part of Twelve Twenty-Four!
This is the time of the year when the pre-tour work really starts to pick up steam. With just three months until opening night, we are busy finalizing this season’s show and working hard on adding more dates to our tour schedule.
In celebration of our 15th anniversary as Twelve Twenty-Four, we have decided to have a professional group photograph taken to mark this milestone year. So before next week’s rehearsal, we are getting ourselves all gussied up and heading to some scenic spots for this cool photo shoot.
November and the start of our 15th season will be here before you know it!
You read that correctly, several members of Twelve Twenty-Four are part of the cast of Rock of Ages coming to the Little Theatre of Wilkes-Barre in September. Set in the late 1980s, Rock of Ages is the musical story of an aspiring rock star (and resident toilet cleaner) Drew, who longs to take the stage as the next big thing (and longs for small-town girl Sherri, fresh off the bus from Kansas with stars in her eyes). But the rock and roll fairy-tale is about to end when German developers sweep into town with plans to turn the fabled Strip into just another capitalist strip mall.
Our new Twelve Twenty-Four vocalist, Joey James, plays the role of Drew and is also the show’s musical director. Guitarist Jason “JBird” Santos and bassist Dirk Yahraes have signed on as two of the monster rockers in the show’s band, Arsenal.
We invite you to join Joey, JBird, Dirk, and the entire Rock of Ages cast, as they take a trip back to the 1980s and relive that decade through the music of artists like REO Speedwagon, Journey, Joan Jett, Pat Benatar, Whitesnake and many others.
